Arjuna paints with untamed energy, creating exuberantly in the moment. In his wildly experiential expressionism, he calls up the ancient divinities hidden not so far under the unconscious and allows them to unchain themselves from the boxes we all hide them in, encouraging them to freely dance upon his canvas.
Arjuna throws a vivid emotional reaction in powerful colours and jarring compositions onto his easel with bursts of strong emotions. He places no artifice in rendering an esthetically pleasing impression onto a difficult subject material. His work in acrylic and ink offers an eye towards shining the spirit of individual expression onto today’s burning issues with a unique voice that helps reinvent the vocabulary of 20th century expressionism.
